The next Absolute Beginners Course in Judo for Adults will begin on Tuesday 14th January 2020 and will run for 10 weeks. During the last session, the Judokas are graded!

We at the Budokwai were deeply saddened by the death of Sensei Kisaburo Watanabe.
A much revered and respected Sensei and friend, he arrived at The Budokwai in 1962. His portrait hangs in the main dojo and his legacy will never be forgotten. Our sincerest condolences are with his wife, two daughters and the many, many friends.
The Chairman Peter Blewett was delighted to represent the Budokwai at the Japanese Embassy to honour Mr Shinichi Iida who has been promoted to Minister of Economic Affairs at the US Embassy in Washington DC from 31 July 2019.

Winning the Masters Bronze, Senior Silver (individual) as well as Gold for the 5 judoka strong, team event for the International Trophy and Senior Gold Trophy!

May was a busy month for our young Judoka. They had a really valuable and exciting time in Mierlo. The competition was tough and our team learnt a lot.
Congratulations to our fantastic team who fought brilliantly at the London Open in May. Excellent Judo on display!
