A great competition where our Judoka won a gold, silver and bronze, as well as lots of valuable experience! 

In preparation for the Nationals, our squad enjoyed the winter training camp in Scotland.

It has been a busy Summer here at The Budokwai in our centenary year. Some of Team Budokwai traveled to Wales in July to participate in the National Teams event.  

Last week #TheBudokwai was delighted to celebrate the twinning of the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea with Fukushima, Japan. Fukushima will be the host region to #TeamGB at the #Tokyo2020 #Olympics British and Japanese students exchanged cultural activities which included #dance and #poetry. Congratulations to all the Budokwai Judoka who took part in the Kent International. 

Maella, Olivia, Tybalt, Evangelos and Tess all got 5th place, Sofia won bronze and Ben, Mario and Mahmoud won silver.

Congratulations to Team Budokwai for winning gold, bronze and 5th place at the Northern Ireland Open. Thank you to Senseis Larry Stevenson and David Mesa Rey for accompanying the team!

Congratulations to Kyle Perry on winning silver at the Zuidland Open in Rotterdam. 

The Budokwai was saddened to hear of the death of former Aikido sensei John Cornish. 

Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time.
