Sensei Stevenson and Sensei Mesa Rey took 9 judoka from the Budokwai to the National Championships on the first weekend of December.

Abdulatif, Ben, Mario and Sofia all won bronze medals!

We were delighted to host a seminar led by Mitt Master Matt Chapman at The Budokwai on Sunday 7th May. It was incredibly well attended, one person flew in especially from Washington! 
We look forward to hosting this exciting event next year. 

It's been a busy day at The Budokwai this Sunday!

It began with a visit from the Nada High School Judo Club from Japan who attended the cadet practice. It was a fantastic occasion.

We then held a Senior Judo Dan grading, which was followed by a London Area training session.

The final event of the day was the Karate grading.

Thank you to all who came along to the Sports First Aid training held at the club led by coach Steve Fraser.  

The Paris Grand Slam is a celebrated highlight of the global Judo calendar, and the 2017 competition did not disappoint. 

Many Budokwai members were in attendance and were able to connect with fellow Judoka from across the globe. 

The Budokwai Chairman Peter Blewett was proud to present Daniel Lascau with a Budokwai honorary membership, and Budokwai member and renowned Judo photographer David Finch captured the moment.
